Apple Orchard Visit
I often take 1/2 days off to spend time with my parents. Today we decided to relax and enjoy the sunny afternoon at a local apple orchard. It was a perfect fall day - a bit crisp but nice and warm in the sun.
It's fun to sample a variety of apples - dad likes that they have free samples :) Our favorite was the honeycrisp.
And so many pumpkins!
Happy Fall!

Garden Tour - Community Garden
This year our city used some extra land for community garden plots. We only plant tomatoes in our garden at home. Everything else we've tried hasn't done well. So I planted zucchini, cucumbers and pumpkins in my community garden.
I've picked a few zucchini and cucumbers. But I'm most excited about my pumpkins! We had 3, but a pair of groundhogs munched on one. So now we're left with 2. Aren't they cute?
Even the pumpkin blossoms are pretty!

Mumkins!
Aren't these just the cutest things! I'm on the mailing list for Lowe's Creative Ideas Magazine and this DIY project was in it. Here's the link to the DIY project on Lowe's Creative Ideas site: DIY Mumpkins . And while you are there, sign up for their magazine. It's filled with great ideas for inside and outside of the home!
